Charlotte's Familiar Faces: Erin O August 15th, 2009 Posted by Hunter Wilson

Anyone who’s been to the Forum on more than one occasion has likely run into local hottie and familiar face at the door, Erin O. I had the opportunity to sit down with her recently to talk with her at Solstice Tavern in NoDa and she’s much more than just a pretty face at the door. She’s an intelligent, witty, and extremely involved member of Charlotte’s nightlife community.

Carolina DJs: DJ Row$hay August 11th, 2009 Posted by Hunter Wilson

Few venues in the Carolinas do an overly impressive job with their music management. This is not the generation that you can simply switch on the Juke Box and expect a repeat crowd of loyal customers. Nightlife’rs today are a harsh bunch of nearly impossible to please customers. They demand new and fresh sound from the high-end dance clubs.

Boardwalk Billy's July Band Schedule June 30th, 2009 Posted by Hunter Wilson

Boardwalk Billys has long been a University area hot spot. Known for their cheap drinks, friendly atmosphere and great music, Boardwalk Billys has a great crowd just about every night they open their doors.

Live music takes center stage every Thursday through Saturday Night. Patrons huddle their tables around the local bands, eat free peanuts and quench a thirst on cheap drinks (sometimes beer is only a dollar).

Boardwalk Billys is 21 and up only at night so dont forget to bring your ID.

Boardwalk Billys also has a PacMan cocktail table vintage video game, electronic Darts, and a few common video games… It is a fun time for sure.

Crush announced today that they have the new Pioneer DVJ-X1 DVD turntables and are ready to deliver video bliss alongside their already famous selection of dance floor hits. Crush continues their reign as a pacesetter nightclub in Charlotte. Since their opening in April of 2003, Crush has grown to demand respect and attention from their competitors. Dear Carolina Rocks Charlotte September 22nd, 2005 Posted by Hunter Wilson

dear Carolina began on the whim of a young Venezuelan guitarist who shared his dream of playing in a bar in America with a friend who happened to have a good voice. From a trial performance at Phil’s Tavern in Charlotte, NC to regular gigs around town, dear Carolina has snowballed its dream of playing in a bar to being “one of the hottest bands in town.” The original 2 in the band, singer Dave Cohn and guitarist Alfonso Teran, were able to take it to the next level when bassist Brad Watson and drummer Matt Benson joined the group.
