  Nightlife Review: Shoppes at University Place April 19th, 2005 Posted by Hunter Wilson

  Nope, this article is not about one spot in general. With the coming summer and current spring weather, you can only love the Shoppes at University Place. From hanging out at the Wine Vault to eating some great food at Boardwalk Billy"s and Wolfman Pizza, this area is growing at a light-speed pace.

  After being slow, for the most part throughout the winter, the boardwalk around Shoppes at University Place are picking up. The Wine Vault, a wine store stocked with anything you can dream of and more equipped with plenty of outside seating for the late evening bottle of wine, is becoming the premium spot for local young professionals to enjoy an early evening. The best Merlot and the finest Chardonnay, The Wine Vault has it.

  I am not a huge Wine buff, nor much of a fan,. So, I usually stick to the basics of great food and cheap drinks from Boardwalk Billy"s and Wolfman Pizza. Knowing me, a perfect spot has to come with complimentary wireless internet so I can do my job while enjoying the great taste of Miller Lite. So, after a quick inquiry I nestled in on the wi-fi patio of Wolfman Pizza. There is not a more perfect spot in all of the University area to enjoy dinner. Looking over the lake at the busy shops and the crowded Wine Vault you can enjoy great pizza (or my favorite: the Wolf Bites), beautiful views, and a warm atmosphere of a trendy lake front shopping center.

  From Birkenstocks to Jessi Brown"s Outdoor Company, Ice Cream and flower shops, Italian restaurants to Mexican cuisines. You just can"t beat the Shoppes at University Place. Keep checking back with us. There is a huge summer concert series that usually comes to the Shoppes at University Place. Schedule will be posted soon.
