  Nightlife Review: The Thursday Night Fever June 23rd, 2005 Posted by Hunter Wilson

  People always ask me what the best night to go out is. I usually say Saturday night because most bars are somewhat busy and the crowd seems to want to party really hard. The business folks are out on their one night off, the college teens are home in bed, and the downtown scene is always busy.

  Now that I really think about, notoriously Thursday nights seem to be a busy night in each and every city. Take Charlotte for instance, two of the biggest college nights happen on the same night, Phil"s Tavern is huge, Buckheads is packed, Ri-Ra Irish Pub always has a crowd, and many more. Go to other cities like Greensboro, Raleigh and Wilmington and you will find that Thursday night is their biggest nightlife day of the week!

  If you are going to do some traveling and will happen to be in one of these cities on a Thursday night, you should check the following places out:

  Greensboro: Arizona Pete"s

  Raleigh: City Limits

  Wilmington: Liquid Room

  Just thought I would share the thought. The cool thing about Charlotte is you can go downtown, park your car, and walk to a half-dozen bars that will all have a party to join. But wait, every city is like that in a way. Charleston has its world famous Market St. and East Bay St. bars, Raleigh has the warehouse district, Wilmington"s downtown struggles but keeps the nightlife going all in one spot"

  The secret to getting crazy on a Thursday night is to peak early! Drink hard and fast in the beginning and dance it off the rest of the night. The last thing anyone needs is a hang over Friday morning at work.
