  A New Breath to Raleigh's Nightlife March 28th, 2006 Posted by Hunter Wilson

  In just a few weeks the all new Ess Lounge will open at the end of Davie St. and bring a new breath to nightlife in Raleigh! The grand opening is scheduled for April 15th as Social Magazine and Carolina Nightlife team up for the grand opening celebrations!

  We took a tour through Ess Lounge the other day with the owner and spoke to him a bit about what Raleigh"s Nightlife will expect from Ess. We were blown away by the detail and planning that has already gone into making Ess Lounge one of Raleigh"s soon to be capstones in the nightlife!

  When you walk in you are welcomed by one of the largest center located bars in Raleigh. The marble topped bar, under lit by a smooth ambient light, is wrapped by the lounge area that is scattered with lighted tables.

  Step out onto the outdoor patio and gaze at the amazing view of Raleigh"s skyline at night as you will sip martinis and join Raleigh"s socialite crowds. The patio will more than likely be Carolina Nightlife"s new hang out"

  I have to say my favorite addition is the art deco addition of the globe chair that was ordered and shipped from the UK (because trust me, you can not get those in the US).

  The dance floor is sectioned off for the later evening crowds and continues to impress. The ceiling is adorned by huge old industrial timbers and follows the warehouse style remodeling.

  This place will have it all in Raleigh"s Nightlife. Check them out on April 15th at Social Magazine and Carolina Nightlife"s grand opening party! We will see you there"
