That statement applies to everyone minus about 80 people so I felt it appropriate. I"m sure those of you who experienced it first hand will agree with me" IT WAS A MOST KICKASS TIME! I haven"t had that much fun since my Vegas adventure with Red Door Entertainment! The starting point was at Stage One up in the University area. I live down in SouthPark, so I decided to meet everyone Uptown at the next stop, Cans. I have not been to Stage One yet, but from the albums I have seen, it appears to be one of top party spots in the University area. They also have 50 cent Miller Lite on Thursdays! I met the Ragin" Uptown buses at Can"s around 10pm. Hunter did a good job on this one" lots and lots of pretty ladies in attendance! Can"s was a great choice because it is so big! I spent the majority of my time downstairs working on a buzz, and watching Miami kill Detroit on a Hi-Def plasma screen. If you haven"t been to Can"s" you need to check it out. 2 levels, 4 bars, and plenty of room to sit down and enjoy a drink with friends makes it an excellent choice for a night out. You may want to arrive early like we did, because this place packs out quick. There was quite a line on our way out. Next stop was Dixie"s Tavern! Dixie"s was the first bar I went to in Charlotte, so I will always have love for it. It"s had some nice upgrades since that first visit, but it is still the same fun time, Big Easy style! My buzz was in full effect by this point, and everyone started getting a little crazy. (see the photo album.) You will also see in the photo album that the place was packed! I was tempted at one point to try a crowd dive, but quickly came to my senses. Miller Lite"s were easily obtainable from the cute beer tub girl, and DJ Jazzy Jimmy rocked the crowd. The weather was nice out so I spent the rest of our visit out on their patio. If you look at the album and are not familiar with Dixie"s, it will probably surprise you that it is actually a restaurant too! It so happens that we have their menu on our site. I recommend the Cajun Pasta, excellent! Last but not least, Morehead Street Tavern! I used to live across the street from this place, so I am quite familiar with it. 3 words" GREAT PARTY POTENTIAL! This place has it all! Restaurant area, multiple bar areas, big open dance floor, courtyard amphitheatre with a fountain and mezzanine, games and billiards, tons of FREE PARKING, and a high speed staff. This is one place you can spend the entire night and not get bored. I like the way each area of the tavern has its own unique atmosphere. Upstairs is well lit and lively, the downstairs bars have a more "cozy" feel with ambient lighting, the dance floor area is surrounded by darkness to give it that true club feeling, and the courtyard" well you just have to see it! This was a great place to finish the crawl, and I had a blast. I wish I could provide you with a little more detailed account of the last stop, but I was hosed by that point" I just know it was fun. That"s the point of the bar crawl though.. party with no worries because Ragin" Uptown is behind the wheel. I want to thank the great people at Bacardi for sponsoring this, and I eagerly await the one next month. Remember" it"s not "rum and Coke" it"s "Bacardi and cola", unless of course you have big kahones" then it is "Bacardi 151 and cola." Till next time
