So you’re making your usual trip off Glenwood this saturday night to see what Davie St. has to offer. You go to park on Commerce because the lots for White Collar and Ess are full, and you stumble across a non-descript doorway pulsing with the hottest beats in all of the land. This particular night you are lucky enough to have found the newest sensation to grace Raleigh with its presence. And until now, thats about the only way you would have found the place. You found Club Mosquito on its grand opening, and walking in you might feel like you took a wrong turn and ended up in Miami or L.A. No detail is left unaddressed from the hand tiled columns and walls to the sand filled candle holders, from the free-form curves that form the bars ceilings to the immaculate white VIP. Even a trip to the bathrooms makes you sit back and take it all in. This particular night, you found the hottest dance party in Raleigh, the place to see and be seen, the place for the best music spun by area DJ’s in an accessible DJ booth putting them right in the crowd. On other nights you might have walked into a House Lounge, a Latin Dance Fiesta, or a break-beat battle that’ll make your heart stop. On this particular night, you say to yourself: “I bet its impossible to get a drink in this place.” and on this particular night, you’re wrong. There are two decently sized bars with talent from spots like Five Star and White Collar Crime, who pride themselves on their service. Not to mention with the reasonably priced drinks, you won’t break the bank. On this particular night, you found the hottest spot that no one knows about. The good news is that this Saturday, this particular night, is like every other Saturday at Mosquito. Every other night period. So don’t be surprised when you come out for the Grand Opening and you have a slight hint of Deja Vu. No Smoking inside, $10 memberships and the perfect blend of style and function.
