CHARLOTTE WELCOMES BOOST MOBILE HOT IMPORT NIGHTS ON JULY 14 Youth Automotive Pop Culture Event to Feature Amazing Custom Cars and Entertainment WHAT: Charlotte will host Boost Mobile Hot Import Nights, the country"s largest touring automotive lifestyle event, on Saturday, July 14 at Merchandise Mart from 5 p.m. to midnight. In addition to a dazzling display of highly customized show cars, this one-of-a-kind experience will also feature live music performances and unique product displays from sponsors such as Mazda, National Guard, NOS Energy Drink, Dunlop Tires, Shell, Bridgestone, Pioneer, Chevy and Pontiac. Experience the event described by Newsweek as a "Lollapalooza for millions of hipster-hobbyists". Top attractions include: * National Guard "Fallen Heroes" Infiniti G35, created by Sergeant Nicholas Ashby in tribute to three friends who had fallen in action while serving in Iraq, and onstage "Operation Tribute to Freedom" recognition of Charlotte soldiers returning from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hot Import Nights has received a proclamation from Mayor Pat McCrory in recognition of its efforts. * Exhibit of customizations inspired by the highly anticipated summer blockbuster Transformers, such as Jason Whitfield’s Aveo at the GM Photo Studio. Hundreds of tricked out vehicles (Domestic, Japanese, and European) boasting the latest aftermarket trends, tech gadgets and tuned performance. Feature appearance by model Pearl Nalani along with the Acura TSX from her July Modified magazine cover. * Live performances held on the Mazda Main Stage and BOOST Mobile Urban Stage. * A chance for the owner of the winning "hottest performance-themed" vehicle to have his/her car immortalized in the soon to be released Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights video game.
