  Carolina Beer Company Brew Contest What: Media teams competing to create the best beer! Where: Charlotte Shout"s Blues, Brews & BBQ        North Tryon Street When: Saturday evening, September 15, 2007 Let the beer begin! Carolina Beer Company, recently invited media groups to compete in a beer brewing contest. Four teams were created from the different groups to pick their ingredients to create what they felt was the "best beer." Over a two week period the teams got together at the Carolina Beer Company"s brewery in Mooresville to mix, brew, bond - and of course, sample some beer! Each team brewed about one keg worth, with the extra being bottled team members to take home after the competition. After they were done they left the beer to ferment. On September 15 the teams will come together again for the final taste test at Charlotte Shout"s Blues, Brews & BBQ. Who will be the winner of this fierce competition" Find out the team and winning beer when it is announced on the main stage at Blues, Brews & BBQ on September 15, 2007. The tasting is not open to the public"the judging will take place in the VIP tent. The results will be announced on the Main Stage. Teams/Beers Brewed: WBT"s Jeff Katz and The Rhino Times" Mark Pellin:  English Style Pale Ale 107.9 The Link"s Matt Harris, Uptown Magazine"s Todd Trimakas and The Charlotte Post"s Jeri Thompson and Monty Ramseur:  Belgian Wit (basically a wheat beer) Creative Loafing"s Chris Herring/Charlotte Viewpoint"s Mark Perez: Raspberry Wheat The Eye"s Tonya Jameson and Carolina Nightlife"s Charles Wilson:  Amber Ale Charlotte Shout is a month-long celebration of art, culture, and community, incorporating numerous performances and events in more than 40 venues throughout the Charlotte region.  This celebration is produced by Charlotte ArtsFest, Inc.
