  Pub (pub) n. a place to drink a lot and spend a little. It"s been almost a year since The Pub at Gateway started pouring the stiff drinks and cranking out the keg beer. Now, still going as strong as it"s opening, The Pub is packed throughout the week treating patrons to the cheapest drunk they"ll have all week! The Pub has a simple philosophy that has kept them busy over the year" serve cold beer, stiff drinks, quality food, and good music.  The party at The Pub starts with Blackout Entertainment early on Tuesday night with their college night. DJ R WONZ and DJ Eye-U keep everyone entertained as they slam down .50 draft beer, $2 bottles, and $3 vodka drinks! With the weather warming up the outside patio has been busy early and the crowd is always laid back and ready to have a good time. Thursday through Saturday is busy as well bringing in live music and Djs from around Charlotte, but don"t think you will spend a fortune just because it is the weekend. Friday is .50 cent draft beer night again! Literally they can"t sell the beer fast enough. The tap handles just hang open all night as people slid down cup after cup of cold beer at a cheap price! It is not all about cheap drinks with The Pub. The fact that they have reliable free parking right next door at a secure parking deck, parking right out front, and across the street is a comfort.
