  NEW YEARS EVE AT CLUB NY

  Club NY, Charleston"s biggest night club which epitomizes a new standard in nightlife, is opening for one night only " New Year"s Eve 2008 - and is guaranteed to have people talking throughout 2009. The event"s debut in 2007 brought over 650 people to the Gaillard Auditorium Expo Hall. The inspiration behind Club NY is to elevate locals" nightlife and introduce the nationally-recognized DJ"s and entertainers, cosmopolitan décor and design, edge and diversity that one would find in influential cites such as New York City.

  This one time only nightclub features international sounds including reggae, house, hip-hop, "80s retro and today"s pop music. Club NY has a diverse crowd and everyone has one thing in common: a desire for good music, dancing and a love of a good time.

  Entertainment includes:

  There will be two rooms each playing a different style of music all night long. A full schedule will be available at www.clubnycharleston.com. Big screen projections of Times Square at midnight will give the full effect of being in New York City and a confetti blast and champagne toast will help ring in the new year right.

  Tickets go on sale Monday, November 24, and are $85 in advance and $100 after December 25. Tickets can be purchased at www.clubnycharleston.com or at the Gaillard Auditorium at 77 Calhoun Street. Tickets include all beverages, heavy hors d"oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight.

  VIP tickets are available and include a private elevated cabana with a cocktail waitress, upgraded food selection, complimentary bottle of champagne and a bottle of your choice. The prominent VIP section is located by the dance floor so that you can have privacy while still being able to view all of the entertainment and other club-goers. There will be a total of six lounges and each one can seat up to ten people. Tickets are $150 per person in advance and $175 after December 25.

  Doors open at 9:00 p.m. and the night continues on until 1:30a.m. All guests must be 21 years old with valid ID.

  NEW YEARS EVE AT PURPLE TREE LOUNGE

  NEW YEARS EVE WITH CONTROL FREAK AND LOCKS OF LOVE AT THE SAND SHACK

  Come out and have a fantastic evening ringing in the 2009 new year with Control Freak hitting the stage at the Sand Shack Bar & Grill. Locks of Love will be there to cut all the LOOONG hair to benefit children with cancer who have lost their hair due to treatment. Shane, Control Freak’s frontman, will kick the donations off by having 2 ft, that’s right TWO FEET, of his own hair cut off to go to the children!

  The evening continues on with a dinner buffet, party favors through the night, champagne at midnight with a ballon drop with every balloon containing a surprise. Then, finish the evening off with a breakfast buffet and the continuing music to rock you into the morning hours of the new year!

  Join Shooters of Summerville and Neverthaless as they ring in 2009 with a BANG! Tickets go on sale and are $10 for individuals and $18 for a couple. Included will be a dinner buffet, live music, champagne toast at midnight, breakfast buffet, party favors, and more!
