  Weekly Jazz Concert Series Kicks Off at Mellow Mushroom January 26th, 2009 Posted by Hunter Wilson

  Charleston, SC. Jan. 26, 2009 Mellow Mushroom in historic Charleston will be the home to the Jazz Artist’s of Charleston as they showcase some of Charleston’s greatest jazz musicians every Monday starting Feb. 2, 2009 at 7pm for seven weeks in the Mellow Mushroom Winter Jazz Series. The series will kick-off with the Latin jazz of Leah Suarez Trio.  Other groups to perform are Charlton Singleton Quartet, Rober Lewis Trio, Duda Lucena, Pulse Trio, George Kenny Quartet, and Quentin Baxter Trio. Jazz Artists of Charleston {JAC} is a South Carolina based non-profit organization incorporated to cultivate an inspiring, professional and healthy environment for musicians and audience members throughout the Charleston area in an effort to promote, support and develop the vibrant and creative jazz culture by producing and promoting educational programs, concerts, presentations and special outreach events.
