Mez has reason to celebrate this holiday season, as the New Year marks not only the beginning of 2010, but also the restaurant’s first year as Charlotte’s most exciting dining, movie and cocktail destination! The Second Annual Black Tie Ball at Mez will mark the occasion with style on Thursday, Dec. 31, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. General admission tickets are $25 and include a champagne toast, party favors and passed hors d’oeuvres. A variety of premium VIP packages that include dinner, reserved tables and Ritz Carlton hotel rooms are also available. Call (704) 971-2400 for details and reservations.
Since the Dec. 2008 opening, Mez has invigorated Charlotte with such exciting events as a performance by the world’s premier video DJ, DJ Roonie G; an unbelievable Halloween celebration featuring gravity-defying circus performers; and movie premiere parties for such blockbusters as Julie and Julia and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The New Year’s Eve Black Tie Ball will continue the venue’s commitment to unique entertainment and will feature a midnight balloon drop to help kick off 2010, as well as the unveiling of the new movie star portraits that will update the décor of the restaurant.
