The fifth outing of the semi-annual "Queen's Feast" Charlotte Restaurant Week® will run ten days from Friday, July 16, through Sunday, July 25. This summer's promotion features 88 participating restaurants [see full list below]; the event website at www.CharlotteRestaurantWeek.com lists the restaurants' special Queen's Feast menus, as well as transportation and uptown parking information.
Charlotte Restaurant Week is a metro-area promotion during a typically slow time in which numerous upscale restaurants offer a prix fixe, three-course (or more) dinner for $30 per person (not including tax and gratuity), a savings over what the featured meal would typically cost at each participating restaurant.
In addition to many areas of Charlotte, participating restaurants for the next Queen's Feast can be found in Matthews; up to the Lake Norman area of both northern Mecklenburg and Iredell counties; over to Concord in Cabarrus County; west to Belmont in Gaston County; and south to Fort Mill, SC.
The previous Charlotte Restaurant Week in January 2010 generated approximately 70,000 dinners and $3.03 million in revenue for 79 participating restaurants.
"We are thrilled with the continued growth of Queen's Feast," said Bruce Hensley, president of Hensley Fontana Public Relations & Marketing, which owns and handles turnkey execution of the event. "The interest in and success of Charlotte Restaurant Week is a solid testament to the quality and commitment of restaurants in this area."
This summer's Queen's Feast will see over a dozen first-time restaurant participants, such as Cuisine Malaya; Santé; Lulu; The Prickly Pear; Saffron Indian Cuisine; and The Speedway Club; and recently opened spots including Aria Tuscan Grill; Georges Brasserie; Dressler's Metro; and Terrace Cafe.
Reservations are strongly recommended; reservation links and contact information for all participating restaurants can be found at www.CharlotteRestaurantWeek.com.
Partners in the July promotion are Visit Charlotte/Charlottesgotalot.com; American Express; The Greater Charlotte Hospitality & Tourism Alliance; Charlotte Center City Partners/FindYourCenter.com; Axis Marketing Group; U.S. Foodservice; Constellation Wines U.S.; Blue Point Brewing Company; Rose Chauffeured Transportation; Central Parking; WBT-AM; 107.9 The Link FM; Charlotte Magazine; Time Warner Cable; and OpenTable.com.
