I arrived at the Colonial Life Arena at 6:30 p.m. The parking lots were full of people tailgating and having fun waiting for the concert to begin. Many people were already lined up at the door. WCOS 97.5 was there spinning tunes and Karaoke.
The Concert began with the McClymonts, an all girl country group out of Australia. The group was composed of three beautiful sisters, Sam, Brooke, and Mollie. They all had great singing voices along with great bodies. They have a new album out "Chaos and Bright Lights". They started with the song "You were right" which was followed up with the song "Delta Dawn". They have been very popular in Australia for a few years and have joined Jason Aldean's "Wide Open Tour" to break into the USA market.
Next to take the stage was Georgia Born, Luke Bryan. A good looking man that loves to tease the women with his tight pants and shaking of his hips. He was named "Top New Solo Vocalist" and "Top New Artist" at the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards. He really was a favorite amoung this crowd while they danced, sang with him, and stayed standing the entire time he was on stage. He began singing "Country Man", "What Country Is" and "We Rode In Trucks". Then the popular "Rain Is A Good Thing" got the crowd pumped up.
Last but not least Jason Aldean took to the stage behind a white curtain lights showing his shadow through the curtain and then the curtain dropped and the crowd went wild. Fog, big screen showing clips from videos and of Jason live. This was his "Wide Open Tour" and the he was wide open. His fans was pumped up and wide open as well. Lots of beer drinking, cowboy hats in the air, and singing with the star along with lots of booty shaking. He announced his new album coming soon with his new single and video "My Kinda Party". He sang such hits as "Crazy Town", "Amarillo Sky", and "Big Green Tractor" as just a few.
This concert was great and everyone had a "Wide Open" country night! Country Music is alive and well in Columbia, South Carolina! This concert was sold out.
