What is it about KISS FM’s night-time personality that makes Ryan Swiger so popular? Is it his way with the ladies? His on-air antics? Maybe his stage presence?
Whatever it is, it’s working for him. In 2010 alone, Crash landed some of the most envied interviews and gigs in the radio industry.

Some of his favorite interviews in 2010 include ones with Boys Like Girls, Theory of a Deadman, and Cobra Starship. Besides meeting some of the music industries most elite, he hosts at nightclubs all over Charlotte and the surrounding areas. His favorite hosting gigs are ones in the Epicenter in uptown Charlotte.

Q: “What makes you unique as a DJ?”

 A: “I think it’s the fact that I try to think outside the box. There’s a smile or laugh that can come out of almost anything.”

Q: “What’s your favorite on-air moment?” 

A: “Favorite on-air moment was when AJ and I were talking abut the places that people have had sex, ‘Done the Dirty’, outside the bedroom, and his mom actually called in and mentioned that she had done it in the shovel of a backhoe! I’m PRETTY sure she was kidding with us, but it sounded so natural I believed her… the look on his face was priceless… then afterwards she had to explain to him what a backhoe even wasŔ  

Q: “Describe your ideal girl.”

 A: “Ideal girl has to be down to earth, gotta have her head on straight and be honest. Wild is a must, but true at the same time (wink). Def good looking (wink) haha. But trust is key.” 

Q: “If you could tell your listeners one thing that you can’t on air, what would it be?” 

A: “Something I’d tell listeners off radio (laughs): Justin Bieber is just a fad… You don’t need to do everything he says or tweets on his Twitter! SERIOUSLY! (laughs). The day Justin Bieber busts out a guitar solo, Hell freezes over.”
