The Stand Up Get Down Comedy Dance Party, one of Charleston's most fun stand up comedy shows, is back in April and stronger than ever. Club Light is the venue for this up close and personal comedy show. There will be exciting giveaways, drink specials, and most importantly outstanding stand up comedy by the best and brightest comedians in the region.

This month the line up includes comedy veteran Dave Ugly with his very first ever SUGD appearance. Local comedian and trivia host extraordinaire Bill Davis will be bringing the laughs. Fresh off his appearance on SiriusXM satellite radio's Opie and Anthony Show, local comedian David Corley is going to make you double over with laughter. Our Headliner is "The Alabama Slamma" himself, the one and only Dusty Slay. Dusty's slow talking and quick wit is a favorite with audiences around the Southeast.

David "Apples" Appleton will be host for the show, getting you up and out of your seats. There will be a dance off for a fabulous prize, so bring your best moves. When the jokes are all done, stick around and chat it up with your favorite comedians or get your groove on on the dance floor. DJ Cilo will be playing your favorite dance tracks and making you move to the music.

The "STAND UP GET DOWN Comedy Dance Party" is a monthly party at CLUB LIGHT that combines stand-up comedy with a night of dancing. The Stand Up Get Down happens the first Thursday of every month. The night begins with Charleston's favorite comics performing stand-up comedy and delivering pure laughter. Once the comedy show ends, the dance floor lights up, the music plays, and the party continues until closing time. Comedy fans and people that like the club scene agree that this is a show worth seeing! Admission is only $5 and the doors open at 8pm.
